It is prepared by subjecting the Vidanga (Embelia ribes) Kashaya to Ghana procedure. Vidanga is a famous anthelmintic drug in Ayurveda. It is used to treat worm infestation of all types. Vidanga also acts on Rasadhatvagni & Medodhatvagni, that’s why it is highly useful in all endocrine disorders especially hypothyroidism & diabetes mellitus. So it is also given in obesity to shed some inches of body. Being best Rakradoshapachaka, it is extremely useful in all types of allergies, especially in rhinitis & skin allergies.
